Finally, I have time to sit down and write a bit about my experience photographing Pride 2015! Every year, Toronto Pride gets better and better. My personal experience this year was overwhelming. It was incredible and the community of people I had the chance of meeting were exceptionally powerful individuals with the greatest hearts.
From the AIDS Vigil to the infamous Parade, each moment was unique and captivating. I was able to work with a tremendous team of photographers and videographers who I now feel completely connected to.
A few of my highlights from Pride 2015:
- Seeing our supportive and compassionate Mayor John Tory get involved in every single Pride event held
- Being at Cabana Pool Bar at Sunset with the Toronto Skyline in the background and a kick-ass party in the foreground
- Seeing a mother carry a sign saying "I love my Trans Son" in the Trans March
- Walking in the Parade, capturing our International Grand Marshall's representing all walks of life
I have put together a small album of my favourite photos that I had the pleasure of taking over the week. You will be able to see the contrast and variety of photos which I hope best represent Pride Toronto 2015. I hope everyone is able to be apart of Pride in some way, and if not, that they are able to feel the same sense of community that Pride is able to generate time and time again.
Happy #Pride everyone and hope to see you all there next year!
